VAC-U-LIFT® Standard Lifters

ACCO® manufactures and supplies a wide variety of vacuum litters for numerous applications. Below are our standard cataloged items with descriptions. ACCO's capable engineering staff can supplying integrated systems as required.

1100 Series Lifters

LIFT® Series 1100 vacuum lifters available in a variety of configurations. The basic components assembled into these various configurations include the VAC-U-LIFT Series 1100 power pac, load beam, cross arms and vacuum pads. VAC-U-LIFT Series 1100 vacuum lifters have a maximum rated load capacity of 1100 pounds. Actual rated load capacity and size limit of load to be handled of any individual lifter is dependent on the number, size and style of vacuum pads; size and length of load beam; and number, size and length of cross arms. Detailed specifications can be obtained from catalog data or order specifications.

3200 Series Lifters

3200 Series modular vacuum lifter for non-porous plate or sheet 3200 pounds capacity. 115 vac electric power. B-3200 - 12 vdc battery power.

A wide range of types, sizes and shapes of material can be easily and economically handled with a single-pad or multi-pad standard lifter.

This standard single pad unit can be used by itself or the basis for a custom lifter for handling varying sizes and shapes of material.

Load beams and crossarms can be readily added to accommodate almost any product configuration.

A 90° upender attachment can be used for positioning loads from vertical to horizontal or horizontal to vertical.

Maintenance costs are low as a result of readily available standard, interchangeable components. Modular design makes maintenance simple. Air filter is readily accessible for cleaning. Changeover between operations is quick and easy, requiring no special tools.

Time to attach lifter to loads is between 3 and 10 seconds depending on number and type of pads.

5600 Series Lifters

The Versatile, Modular Lifter for Loads up to 5600 lbs. The 5600 Series Standard Vac-U-Lift Vacuum Lifter is designed for the economical handling of a wide range of glass, metal or plastic plate and sheet as well as nonporous materials such as stone, smooth concrete, and metal and plastic containers weighing up to 5600 lbs. Normally recommended for relatively short-distance carries, the 5600 Series can also be used for the smooth, efficient handling of these materials over longer runs.

The single-pad unit may be used individually for fast, mar-free material handling or, because of its modular design, it may be used in custom multiple-pad lifter designs when required by the size, shape and type of material to be handled. Load beams and crossarms can be added to accommodate virtually any product configuration. In addition, a 90° upender attachment can be added for repositioning loads from vertical to horizontal or from horizontal to vertical.

Standard 5600 Series Vac-U-Lift Lifters are designed to operate on 230/460 vac, although special units are available on request to meet any voltage requirement.

Time to attach lifter to loads is between 3 and 10 seconds, depending on number and type of pads.

Extremely-low Maintenance Requirements
The modular design of the 5600 Series Lifter, plus readily-available standard, interchangeable components, means simple, low-cost maintenance. The air filter is easily accessible for cleaning, and change-over between operations is fast, simple, and requires no special tools.

7600 Series Lifter

The Heavy-Duty Modular Lifter for Loads up to 7600 lbs.

The Acco 7600 Series Standard Vacuum Lifter is designed for efficient handling of a large variety of loads weighing up to 7600 lbs., including such materials as steel, aluminum, glass, polished granite, non-porous stone, slate, smooth concrete, hardboard, plastic sheet, and many types irregular shaped objects may be handled with special contoured pads. Although normally used to move material relatively short distances, the Acco 7600 Series Lifter is capable of handling long run transfers also.

Depending upon the size, weight, shape and type of material being handled, single-pad vacuum units may be used individually or custom multiple-pad lifter designs may be required. The versatile, modular design of the Acco 7600 Series Lifter easily permits extra pads and crossarms to be added to the load team to accommodate almost any product configuration.

It usually takes between 3 and 10 seconds to attach the lifter to loads, depending upon the number and type of pads. In case of an inadvertent power interruption a reverse vacuum tank takes over which can hold the load up to 30 minutes under normal conditions with non-porous materials.

Standard Acco 7600 Series Lifters are designed to operate on 230-460 volt, three-phase, 60 cycle AC; special units can be supplied in all standard AC voltages. Water-tight units are available upon request.

Modular design and readily-available standard components make maintenance simple and low cost. The air filter is easily accessible for periodic cleaning. Load beams, crossarms and pads are easy to attach, remove or adjust to accommodate changes in material size or shape. The entire Power Pac can be quickly disconnected to change load beams or accessories between operations.

15000 Series Lifters

15000 Series Standard Vacuum Lifter utilizes modular design concept for handling plates or sheets weighing up to 15,000 lbs.

15000 Series Lifters consist of dual, interchangeable 7600 Series Power Pacs mounted on a cross-reinforced, steel double-girder beam from 14' thru 30' in length. Beams can accommodate up to 6 crossarms from 6' thru 10' in length, with as many as 3 vacuum pad assemblies per crossarm. Thus, a wide variety of lifter configurations are available for smooth, efficient handling of all types of sheet and plate weighing up to 15,000 lbs. each. With properly-selected vacuum pads, 15000 Series Lifters may be used to handle materials with slightly porous, grooved and textured surfaces. Watertight Power Pac units can be supplied on request.

Because 15000 Series Lifters are of a totally modular design, crossarms and vacuum pads can be rearranged to fit various material specifications without modifications or design changes required in the unit itself. Trolley-mounted crossarms are pin-locked and completely adjustable along the beam length. Re-positioning of vacuum pads on crossarms can also be accomplished quickly and easily.

15000 Series Lifters feature simple, low-cost maintenance
Power Pac units are of heavy-duty construction and fully encased for maximum component protection. Each unit cover is provided with an ample access door for fast, convenient servicing. A quick disconnect coupling and Fas-pin beam mounting makes Power Pac removal for major servicing or replacement extremely easy. All components are standard and readily available from our stock.

15000 Series Vacuum Lifters can be supplied for use with all standard ac power supplies and are available with either twin-hook or single-point suspension.

I.P. Lifters

Used with overhead crane, provides automatic vacuum pick-up and disengagement when handling non-porous materials up to 4,000 lbs.

The easy-to-operate Vac-U-Lift IP Standard Vacuum Lifter is designed for handling a wide variety of non-porous materials weighing up to 4,000 lbs. by overhead crane. It provides automatic pick-up and disengagement of materials through a uniquely-designed limit switch vacuum-control system actuated by the bail of the unit. No on/off vacuum pendant controls are required.

Materials handled may be steel, aluminum, lead sheets, brass, polished granite and non-porous stone, smooth concrete, metal and plastic containers, and many others. The unit is also capable of handling various types of contoured or wavy materials.

The IP Lifter is particularly suited for moving these materials to or from storage, between stacks and process lines, and on or off trucks. Typical in plant applications include handling materials in conjunction with shears, burn or layout tables, conveyor lines, assembly fixtures, drill presses, polishers, buffers, washers, stretcher revelers, stretch formers, roller revelers, saws, roll coaters and formers, sanders and other types of production operations.

After initial start-up, IP Lifter attachment time is approximately 5 to 10 seconds. A patented, segmented, flexible pad is designed to conform to contours of materials being lifted.
